Christmas Eve at First Presbyterian

By Press Release

CAPE MAY – In addition to their Family Service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24, the First Presbyterian Church of the City of Cape May will have the only Christmas Eve Service in the area that ushers in Christmas morning.
Beginning at 10:45 p.m., this candlelight service will include music by the hand bell choir and the Chancel Choir with trumpet and church organ. The congregation will sing several of the best loved Christmas carols, and Pastor Jim Richards’ message will be “Ponder This.”
At the end of the service, as the church lights dim, everyone will be given a candle to light and hold while singing “Silent Night.” Then, as the lights come up again, the choir, organ, trumpet and congregation will join together in a resounding “Joy To The World,” and the doors will be opened to the new Christmas morning.
