SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s Municipal Alliance Committee will sponsor a free New Year’s Eve in Italy celebration for children on Dec. 31 at the Sea Isle City Public School, 4501 Park Road, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This annual event, which is hosted by the city’s recreation department, will feature music, dancing and other enjoyable activities. The gathering will also allow youngsters to ring in the New Year without having to stay awake until midnight.
As children and their families enter the school’s gymnasium on New Year’s Eve, they will step into a festive atmosphere filled with creative decorations. The interior of the gym will remind everyone of Italy, thanks to an eye-catching Venus de Milo statue, Roman pillars and a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. There will also be photo backdrops that will have parents clicking their cameras all night long – or at least until the party’s crystal ball drops at the strike of “midnight” (around 7 p.m.).
The celebration will also feature a buffet, a balloon-twisting clown, a face painter and party favors for all participants. Pre-registration is required by Dec. 24 for all families attending this delightful celebration, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
