Celebrate Easter Weekend in the Wildwoods

WILDWOOD – Celebrate the start of spring with a memorable Easter Weekend in the Wildwoods Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4.
 
Two Easter Egg Hunts will take place on Saturday, April 3. The Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the beach at 17th Avenue in North Wildwood at noon. Children 11 and under can pick up eggs and collect prizes. This event is FREE. For more information, please call 609-729-5776.
 
Also on Saturday, April 3, the Greater Wildwood Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the beach at Lincoln Avenue in Wildwood at noon. Children 12 and under are invited to dig for eggs buried in the sand. Each egg contains a toy and a golden egg is worth an even bigger prize for those lucky enough to find one! On Easter Sunday, April 4, Morey’s Piers will hold an Easter Opening Day Celebration to kick off the season. This event will take place from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Mariner’s Landing Pier, located at Schellenger Avenue on the Boardwalk in Wildwood. The celebration will feature a visit from the Easter Bunny along with food, games, music and entertainment. Children 12 and under will have the chance to pick an Easter egg to win one of many great prizes including a $500 savings bond, pier and waterpark passes, stuffed animals and much more. Children will also have the chance to participate in painting the Morey’s Mural – a 20-foot creative masterpiece located in front of the Sea Dragon. Also on Easter Sunday, children 12 and under can win prizes at Ed’s Funcade Easter Sunday Egg Hunt from 12:30-2 p.m. Ed’s Funcade is located on the boardwalk at 23rd Avenue in North Wildwood. This event is FREE. For more information, please call 609-729-3223 or visit www.EdsFuncade.com.
 
In addition to Easter egg hunts throughout the island, a Resurrection “Son” Rise Service will be held at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Gazebo at 6:15 a.m. on April 4.
