Avalon to Offer Holiday Beach Tags for Sale on ‘Festive Friday’

By Press Release

AVALON – The Borough of Avalon will once again offer holiday-themed beach tags for sale season. The 2012 beach tags will go on sale the first time during “Festive Friday”, a major holiday celebration that will be held the day after thanksgiving.
The 2012 beach tags will be available for purchase at the Avalon Volunteer Fire Company on Fri., Nov. 25, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The tags will also be on sale from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Avalon Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration next to Veterans Plaza at 21st Street and Dune Drive. Following the “Festive Friday” event, the tags will be sold at the Avalon Tax Collector’s office inside Avalon Borough Hall at 3100 Dune Drive in Avalon during regular business hours. There are limited quantities of these special holiday beach tags for sale and will be offered as supplies last.
The holiday beach tags are “seasonal” beach tags, good for the entire summer of 2012. These are the actual beach tags that will be honored next year; unlike previous years customers will not have to exchange a holiday beach tag for a “regular” beach tag. The beach tags must be purchased in person and cannot be purchased online or via mail delivery.
The design and production of the 2012 Avalon holiday beach tags was a project conducted by the Jersey Cape Diagnostic and Training Center.
