Avalon’s Festive Friday Draws Large Crowds

AVALON– About 500 people attended the tree lighting event during the evening, hosted by Mayor Martin Pagliughi, Friday night.
Santa arrived on a fire truck and had photos taken with children and families.
Earlier in the day, Avalon’s downtown business district hosted Festive Friday, sponsored by the 7 Mile Business and Community Association. “It was tremendous, with over 40 activities for families and very large crowds”, Avalon spoksman Said Scott Wahl.
