COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program is sponsoring a “Halloween 4-H Fun Day,” on Oct. 28, 2012. The event will be held in the Horse and Livestock Area at the rear of the 4-H Fairgrounds and is open to the public.
Area children are invited to join in the following fun Halloween activities from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at no cost: Silly Scarecrow-Making, (for display along Court House-S. Dennis Road), Make-n-Take Punkin’ Decoratin,’ and Hay Rides around the 4-H Fairgrounds. All materials will be supplied.
The day will begin with a Halloween Fun Horse Show for 4-H horse club members at 11:00 a.m. Costumed 4-H youth and horses will compete for prizes in fun classes such as a costume contest, “Bribe Your Horse Haunted Obstacle Course,” the “Headless Horseman’s Hideout,” “Deviled Egg and Spoon Relay,” the “Team Witches’ Brew Race,” ” Poisonous Carrot Barrels” and the “Hairy Scairy.” The public is invited to come watch and enjoy this amusing event.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and treats will be available for $2.00 per person. After all activities are over, there will be a campfire with marshmallows for roasting and treats for all. Bring the little ones and join in some 4-H fun!
