COURT HOUSE — Volunteers in Medicine of Cape May County (VIM) provides free health care to the uninsured and medically underserved in Cape May County. VIM has partnered with the NJ Department of Human Services’ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI) to offer free Eye screenings by a certified Eye Screener and an Optometrist at VIM’s state of the art Eye room, equipped by the Stone Harbor Lions. CBVI provides statewide eye health services to special needs population, individuals with diabetes, migrant farm workers, seniors and under-privileged groups.
The next VIM Clinic is scheduled for April 10, 2015. The VIM clinic is located at 423 N. Route 9, CMCH, NJ 08210 (next door to Atlantic Medical Imaging). The free walk-in clinics are on a first come-first served basis. VIM suggests you arrive between 9:30 a.m. and 12 noon. These Eye Clinics are open to the public. Prescription Glasses assistance is available to anyone who meets VIM qualifications.
VIM has also partnered with the Center for Family Services to offer Affordable Care Act assistance during the month of April with a trained Navigator. Anyone interested in learning about the options for quality affordable health coverage and /or Medicaid enrollment are encouraged to attend.
Clinics are scheduled for April 9, April 10, April 15, April 21, April 28 and April 20 at VIM. The walk-in clinics are on a first come-first served basis; VIM suggests you arrive between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. These ACA Clinics are open to the public and offered free of charge.
