WILDWOOD – The Ocean Drive Run Club presents the 12th Annual Ocean Drive Marathon and Health and Fitness Expo at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28.
The Health and Fitness Expo will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Runners competing in Sunday’s marathon, as well as health and fitness-minded guests, will have the opportunity to explore and purchase the latest in running gear, accessories and reading materials. The Expo is FREE to attend and open to the public and includes a 10-minute chair massage provided by Sports Pros Massage Therapy for all registered marathon participants.
Following the Health and Fitness Expo, the traditional “Carb Load Pasta Dinner” will be held at Adam’s Restaurant from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, March 27. Adam’s Restaurant is located on the Wildwoods Boardwalk at 18th Street in North Wildwood, housed inside the Montego Bay Resort. Tickets for the pasta dinner are $18 per person and can be purchased at the Expo.
The Ocean Drive Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, March 28 at 9 a.m. and will remain open for 5 ½ hours until 2:30 p.m. The Marathon is a qualifying course, and runners will be eligible for awards. The event is also set to include the following runs: the Ocean Drive 10-Miler; Ocean Drive 5K; and the non-competitive Ocean Drive 1.5-Mile Fun Run.
Runners participating in the Ocean Drive Marathon or any of the additional Ocean Drive runs are asked to check-in and pick up their race number, shirt and packet starting at 10 a.m. at the Health and Fitness Expo at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Saturday. Registration at the Expo is the final opportunity to register for the Marathon and 10-Miler events. Registration will close at 5 p.m Saturday. Race-day registration will be available on Sunday, March 28, for the Ocean Drive 5K and 1.5-Mile Fun Run only.
Registration fees are as follows: Ocean Drive Marathon – $90 by March 26 or $100 at Expo; Ocean Drive 10-Miler – $60 by March 26 or $70 at Expo; Ocean Drive 5K – $25 by March 26 or $30 at Expo; Ocean Drive 1.5-Mile Fun Run – flat fee of $10 by March 26 and at Expo.
