COURT HOUSE – Tara Willis, Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist, has been honored with Cape Regional Medical Center’s Service Excellence of the Month Award for August, 2010.
Tara was nominated by her colleagues because of her leadership role in the implementation of a new electronic medical record system at Cape Regional Medical Center. “Tara stepped up and did an excellent job training the doctors and her co-workers on the new electronic system. She was always patient with everyone and would quickly answer a request to go to a nursing unit if a doctor needed her assistance,” stated her colleagues. “Tara is a great asset to the HIM Department and is appreciated for her pleasant personality and her willingness to help anyone in need.”
Tara was joined by Mark Gill, Vice President of Finance, Scott Mills, Director of Health Information Management, and her co-workers as she was presented the award by the Service Excellence Committee. Tara received the Service Excellence of the Month pin, a $100 Visa Gift Card, a Cape Regional Medical Center duffel bag and beach towel as well as a three-month membership to the Fit for Life Fitness Center at the Medical Center.
“I am honored,” stated Willis. “Working in HIM is like being with family. Everyone works well together and is willing to pitch in to get the job done.”
