A group is forming for the treatment and counseling of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Topics include (but are not limited to) group processing, psychoeducation, understanding anxiety and depression, coping skills and relapse prevention. Ages 18-30 years old are welcome. Group therapy sessions occur weekly for one hour, lasting for a total of eight weeks. Cost is $35 per session. Individual counseling is also available at this location.
The group will be run by one of Shore Counseling’s licensed therapists who specializes in the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse. Due to the overwhelming number of individuals in our area struggling with substance abuse, yet an underwhelming amount of assistance, this group aims to address the various issues and aspects of substance and alcohol abuse.
