STONE HARBOR – Mayor Judith Davies-Dunhour issued the following March 20:
As we are aware, the Borough of Stone Harbor, and the rest of Cape May County, is a tourism-driven area and economy that places great value on second homeowners and seasonal visitors.
During normal circumstances, we welcome everyone with open arms and extend our hospitality. The events of the last two weeks here and last three months worldwide have forced us to send a message that goes against our usual philosophy. I would like to thank and commend the Chamber of Commerce for supporting the message of social distancing and taking this situation seriously, since the health of so many is at risk.
These are hard decisions for everyone, but the more focused we are about limiting our travel and interactions with each other now, the faster this will all be over.
To our visitors and second homeowners, Stone Harbor values you and looks forward to all of us reuniting when this is over.
