TRENTON— The Department of Health and Senior Services report the states first child fatality from Swine Flu on Wednesday, June 17.
A 15-year-old Somerset County boy died at home June 8 after developing symptoms that included fever, vomiting, coughing and congestion. The state lab confirmed that he had the virus.
On Monday, officials announced the state’s first swine flu death, a 49-year-old northern New Jersey man.
New Jersey has recorded 367 confirmed cases of swine flu and 236 probable cases.
