COURT HOUSE – The Center for Lifestyle Management has scheduled smoking cessation classes each Wednesday in November from 3 – 4 p.m. (Nov. 2, 9, 16, & 23) in the Thomas & Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center conference room on the ground floor of Cape Regional Medical Center. The fee for the classes is $25, with a refund of $15 if you attend all of the classes.
It is hard to try to quit smoking because nicotine is a very addictive drug. It may take 2 or 3 tries before finally being able to quit, but it can be done. The Smoking Cessation Program at Cape Regional Medical Center includes education about risk factors for smoking, nicotine replacement alternatives, lung function testing, stress management; dietary concerns regarding weight gain and re-lapse prevention.
For more information, or to sign up for the program, please contact Bonnie Kratzer, RN, at the Center for Lifestyle Management at 463-4043.
