Sheriff’s Office Inspects Child Seats

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Sheriff’s Office has scheduled two car seat checks monthly at the Superior Court House at 9 North Main Street.
Car seat checks take between 20 and 30 minutes per seat. Nationally certified technicians will observe how the child arrives in the seat, review the current seat installation and point out deficiencies, check for recall and walk the parent/caregiver through the proper installation and ensure that all children leave safer than they arrive.
Children should be present and in their car seat.
These events are by appointment only. For information or to schedule an appointment, call (609) 463-6425.
