Rolling Thunder Visits Cape May Vet At AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center

Members of Rolling Thunder®, Inc., Chapter 4 N.J. met and thanked more than 20 patients who served in the United States Armed Forces on Veterans Day, November 11 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s (ARMC) Mainland Campus. They also had lunch with ARMC staff who served in the United States military. Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is a non-profit organization that supports the rights of and is committed to helping United States veterans of all wars.
“We love to visit the veterans in the hospital on Veterans Day to help build their spirit. It feels outstanding to put a smile on someone’s face,” said Nick Santana, treasurer, Rolling Thunder®, Inc., Chapter 4, N.J. “All veterans should be recognized on this day. We enjoy just saying, ‘thank you for your service to our country.’ They appreciate it.”
“I got teary-eyed when I saw the group come in my room,” said ARMC patient Edward Sperling, 70, of Smithville, who served in the United States Navy from 1958-1960. “It was great to chat with them. They have big hearts.”
