COURT HOUSE – A Red Cross platelet drive will be hosted by St. John Lutheran Church, on Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The donor bus will be parked outside the church on 10th Street at Central Avenue in Ocean City.
Appointments are needed. The process of platelet donation takes approximately two hours. Blood is drawn from the donor’s arm and goes into a blood cell separator. Platelets and some plasma are
