CLERMONT – Rainbow Pediatrics will host a fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish® New Jersey on Sunday, September 20 from 1 – 4 p.m. at their Clermont office located at 2041 Rt. 9 South.
The fundraiser will include a ‘meet and greet’ with The Frozen Sisters, as well as crafts, face painting, snacks and a bake sale. The event is free to attend, however Rainbow is requesting a $5 donation for each child – all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish® New Jersey.
Each day Make-A-Wish® New Jersey grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the Garden State. Their belief that a wish experience can be a game-changer inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve.
Rainbow Pediatrician Dr. Ava Cavaliere – who is organizing the event – could not agree more. Her son Antonio – a recent “Wish” recipient – was born with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) a birth defect and congenital heart condition that affects normal blood flow through the heart.
“Make-A-Wish® New Jersey gave Antonio a wish of his choice – and Antonio chose to meet the players of The New York Giants and attend a game. He still beams to this day when we talk about the experience – the joy this wish brought to our family was a life-changer for all of us,” Cavaliere said.
“Rainbow Pediatrics works with our pediatric families with life-threatening health situations and Make-A-Wish® New Jersey to make our children’s wishes come true. We hope that the funds raised from this event in some small part help the Foundation to continue its miraculous mission,” added Rainbow Pediatrician Dr. Thomas Dierkes.
