By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

COURT HOUSE– Multiple ambulance units were called to the Oceana rehabilitation and nursing center on Route 9 to begin evacuating patients just after 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, Feb 7.
The evacuation was due to an internal power failure, police said.
Some of the patients receiving medical care are being transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, other patients are being transported to area nursing homes, according to police.
Police did not immediately know the number of patients being evacuated.
Several ambulances from the Millville Rescue Squad were on the scene. Additional county and area assets were also dispatched, an incident command post was established according to reports.
