COURT HOUSE – Freeholder Gerald Thornton announced that the Cape May County Department of Health vaccinated over 2,600 residents at the county’s free Drive-Through Flu Clinic held at Kindle Autoplaza on Oct. 23.
“It was a beautiful day to come out and be protected against the flu this season,” said Freeholder Thornton.
“The day was a success, in part, due to the many volunteers that helped out – including Ed Boyle and the employees at Kindle Autoplaza, the Cape May County Medical Reserve Corps, staff from Cape Regional Medical Center and nursing students from the Richard Stockton College and the County Technical School. Without these dedicated volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to hold such a large event for the community,” added Thornton.
Check the Department of Health’s website at www.cmchealth.net or call the flu hotline at 463-6581 for information on protecting yourself from the flu. Also, any upcoming flu clinics will also be posted.
