Oregano, Thyme Oil Helps Fight Staph Infections

By Press Release

The treatment of Antibiotic Resistant Staph with Botanical Medicines Methicilin resistant staphyloccoccus aureus otherwise known as MRSA is a topic of utmost concern to doctors, nurses, patients, and their families.
The general public is becoming increasingly aware of the prevalence of MRSA.
It seems everywhere you turn you hear a story about someone who has recently contracted a nasty case of drug resistant staph infection. It is estimated that more than 10,000 Americans die each year due to complications of MRSA.
Essentially MRSA is a super bug, a form of staphylococcus bacterium that has grown so strong that the usual front line of antibiotic drugs are proving ineffective in its treatment. How these bacterium have gotten so strong seems to be related to the overuse of antibiotics in medical treatment as well as the overuse of antibacterial products in the home.
Botanical Medicine has recently been shown to offer two very potent solutions to this growing health crisis. The essential oils of Oregano and Thyme have been shown in multiple independent laboratory tests to be capable of killing antibiotic resistant staph bacteria.
Used for millenia worldwide as flavor -enhancing spices in food, these two plants contain essential oils that have very strong healing abilities.
Scientists believe that the reason these natural plant medicines have the ability to kill MRSA is that each individual plant’s chemical makeup differs slightly. This inherent variability between the chemical makeup of each plant and its essential oil is enough to confuse these bacterium so that they have no chance to adapt and develop resistance to these natural plant based medicines.
In the treatment of staph infections, MRSA and otherwise, I recommend the ingestion of Oregano oil capsules and also a topical application of the essential oil. If you believe you have been exposed to MRSA, say perhaps on a recent trip to the hospital, these oils can be used preventatively as well.
