New Vascular Laser for Unsightly Veins of the Face and Legs

Millions of Americans are affected by unsightly broken blood vessels on their face, spider veins on the legs and skin discoloration. Many also suffer with a condition called Rosacea, which causes tiny blood vessels in the skin of the face dilate excessively, creating an appearance of diffuse redness of the cheeks and flushing. People affected by these skin conditions are often self-conscious about them and seek help from their physicians. Unfortunately, until recently, treatment options have been limited. Costly cosmetic creams and makeup only temporarily mask the underlying condition.
Excel V laser is a new approach to treating these vascular skin conditions that puts patient safety and comfort first. The system uses a unique high powered laser that is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels in the skin. The laser eliminates the abnormal vessels, ultimately restoring normal skin tone and color. Treatment sessions typically last approximately 20 minutes. There is usually only mild discomfort that goes away immediately after treatment. There may be some temporary discoloration or bruising associated with treatment. This will vary based upon the individual and his or her condition. However, there is usually not any significant “down-time” associated with treatment.
