H.O.P.E. Patients Receive Treats

By Press Release

MARMORA – Oncology patients at H.O.P.E. Community Cancer Center in Marmora were treated to small gifts recently. As part of the holiday of Purim, Congregation Beth Judah in Ventnor, NJ, donates items to local organizations. Since the Chairman of the project, Dr. David Seitman, is a former patient of the HOPE Center, it was only logical to include them in their annual donations.
“I try to pick items which are especially useful for patients in the middle of chemotherapy”, he says. That is why the donation includes high calorie foods (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups), plain, easily digested items (J&J Animal Crackers), mints (King Leo peppermints), and skin creams (Udderly Smooth hand cream). The final item helps patients pass the time as they receive their therapy – decks of cards.
