Heart Healthy Everyday

Foods with heart! When you choose Autumn Lake Healthcare for your rehabilitation or long term care needs, you can take advantage of our daily Heart Healthy diet choices marked with a “blue heart.” The American Heart Association recommends a diet with a variety of fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy products, skinless poultry and fish, and whole grains, with a limit on saturated fat, trans fat, sodium and sweetened beverages.
Our culinary department offers a variety of heart healthy choices on a daily basis. Delicious and tender baked chicken breast or fish, oven roasted turkey breast, salads, fresh vegetables and fruit choices are just some of your options. You’ll notice the Heart Healthy foods by the “blue heart” symbol on your selective menu. We do not add sodium or butters to our Heart Healthy items, although you may choose to season them when they arrive to you. It’s just one more way we cater to your needs and work to get you back to health and your home quickly!
Autumn Lake Healthcare combines state of the art pulmonary care, dynamic rehabilitation and skilled nursing to help you reach your personal goals quickly and effectively.
