In observance of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, AtlantiCare in partnership with Gilda’s Club South Jersey, will hold a free lung cancer workshop Fri., Nov. 18 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at AtlantiCare, the Cancer Care Institute, a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner, AtlantiCare Health Park, 2500 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
Michael Kane, MD, FACP, medical director, Department of Medical Oncology & Infusion Services, AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, will lead the lecture. Kane will discuss the latest treatments for lung cancer, how to manage side effects and the social and emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
