Find the New You in the New Year

By Press Release

With everything from workout plans and fitness goals to hard-core steps to ways to lose weight, the Gym at 10th Street can show you the way to a New You in the New Year.
Why think of your fit-ness plan in terms of a week or a month. A year-round fitness plan to im-prove your health and energy will keep your fitness goals on the top of your daily checklist.
The Gold membership at the Gym at 10th Street including access to a myr-iad of weight machines, the steam room and all the exercise classes will pro-vide the help you need…making it the per-fect stocking-stuffer for a loved one.
Jump-start your New Year’s fitness resolution in Jan. by consulting with a fitness professional at the gym to design the perfect workout routine to match your lifestyle. Work out with weights, bicycle, run on a treadmill or work out on the elliptical — the key is to work out.
Love your heart in Feb. by decreasing your risk of heart disease. Step up your cardio routine by gradually increasing your frequency and alternating between the treadmill, bike and elliptical. Give your heart the added treat of dark chocolate to help bump up your HDLs, after all Val-entine’s Day falls in this month.
March madness also means bikini season is right around the corner in Cape May County. This month, take your workout up a notch in the gym. Workout and give your muscles extra attention while you tighten up your arms, thighs and butt.
Get your abs in tip-top shape in April by strength-ening your entire core through a combination of workouts using weight machines designed to strengthen your stomach area, and group classes such as spin and yoga that incorporate movements that work to build up the abdominals.
Mix it up in May. Every day of the week, add something new to your gym routine. Take a bike ride, run, rollerblade, power walk and play out-door volleyball — what-ever you do, mix it up, have fun and get sunshine.
Triple-dip on your summer workouts by going outdoors. The increased temperature will help you burn toxins from your body, and the sun will provide a natural source of vitamin D. Outdoor activi-ties will help to enhance your gym workouts, too.
Just because the weather is cooling off in the months of Oct. and Nov., it doesn’t mean your work-outs should. Try a new class. Sign up for a spin class or cardio kickboxing to keep up your momen-tum. These high-energy, high-aerobic and highly intense workouts will keep you steaming every minute of these 60-minute classes.
Dec. finds you back where you started except this Dec. you are smokin’ hot. Remember, all you need to do is burn 3,500 calories to lose one pound.
By moving to a plan de-signed by our experts at the Gym at 10th Street in North Wildwood, you can achieve a New You in the New Year.
