Elpis Foundation Hosts War on the Shore VII in Avalon to Raise $50,000 for Pediatric Cancer

AVALON – What started many years ago as a small gathering of friends has grown into a truly remarkable event. On Saturday, August 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Elpis Foundation will host War on the Shore VII at the Windrift Resort Hotel in Avalon to raise $50,000 or more for the fight against pediatric cancer. The War on the Shore has raised over $90,000 during its first six years to support The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State’s Hershey Children’s Hospital.
Tickets are $40 at the door and attendees will have the opportunity take home some fantastic prizes. Items include sports tickets and memorabilia, electronics, gift certificates of all sorts, and getaway packages to a number of desirable locations.
The Elips Foundation is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization founded by Penn State alumni. Their goal is to restore hope in the lives of those inflicted with ailments, diseases or handicaps which are out of their control. By supporting The Four Diamonds Fund, Elips Foundation is helping children and families combat pediatric cancer through superior care, outstanding financial and emotional support, and innovative research.
