County MUA Administration Building Closed to Public; Exceptions: Meetings, Bid Openings

SWAINTON – Per Executive Order No. 103 from the State of New Jersey, in an attempt to contain COVID-19 throughout the state, effective March 17, all Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (“CMCMUA” and/or “Authority”) buildings are closed to the general public until further notice.
According to a release, the Administration Building will be open to the general public March 18, at 1:30 p.m. for the exclusive purpose of attending the scheduled CMCMUA Board public meeting.
This meeting will be conducted virtually as permitted by guidance issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and in accordance with the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act.
The Administration Building will also be open for a brief period to publicly receive and open bids scheduled for March 19, March 24, March 26, and March 31, 2020 at 2 p.m. and then will close to the public at the conclusion of each bid openings.
The CMCMUA’s Sanitary Landfill, Transfer Station, Intermediate Processing Facility, and all Wastewater Treatment Facilities will remain open and staffed accordingly to provide necessary essential services.
If assistance is needed, the Authority personnel can be reached during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at (609) 465-9026. Additionally, the Authority can be contacted through our website, www.cmcmua.com.
