County Hosts “Carnival” For Seniors

AVALON – On Thursday, May 6, 2010 the Cape May County Department of Aging will be holding the annual Senior Jamboree. This event, held each year in honor of Older American’s Month, will take place at the Avalon Community Center, 30th & the Beach, Avalon, NJ.
The doors will open promptly at 10 a.m. There will be live entertainment, dancing, and a free lunch will be served to everyone by local high school students. Additionally, awards will be given to the “Senior of the Year” – female and male and to the “Organization of the Year”.
The free event is open to all Cape May County senior residents, age 60 or over. So, put on your favorite attire, some comfortable shoes and come join the fun.
