Cape Regional to Offer Assistance with Healthcare Registration

COURT HOUSE – Sorting through the new insurance options under the Affordable Care Act can be overwhelming, but help is available at Cape Regional Medical Center.
On Mondays and Fridays, Certified Application Counselors (CACS) are available at Cape Regional Medical Center to help New Jersey residents apply for state-based insurance programs such as the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, and NJ FamilyCare; appointments are needed. To schedule an appointment, please call 609-463-4040 during regular business hours.
The New Jersey Hospital Association has received support from New Jersey Health Initiatives, a local funding program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to hire a team of Certified Application Counselors to assist individuals who need help signing up for health coverage through the Marketplace. NJHA is proud that all of these counselors are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces – now serving in a new mission of helping others access the healthcare services they need.
Some families and individuals will qualify for tax credits or subsidies that will make their coverage more affordable. To help the CAC’s better explore your options with you, please come prepared with information such as:
• Social Security numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants)
• Birthdates
• Pay stubs, W-2 forms or “Wage and Tax Statements”
• Policy numbers for any current health insurance
• Information about any health insurance available through your job, if you are currently employed.
The CAC’s will be working in hospitals and other sites across the state. Visit www.njha.com/reform/gethelp to learn more about this program.
Cape Regional Medical Center is a member of the Penn Cancer Network and an affiliate of Penn Medicine for Cancer Care, Cardiac Care and Vascular Care. Cape Regional Medical Center is accredited by and received the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission.
