Cape Regional Restricts Children Visitors

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — For the safety of patients and visitors, Cape Regional Medical Center is restricting children under the age of 18 years old from visiting patients on all patient care units, according to a Tuesday, Nov. 10 release.
Earlier in the month, the medical center had, because of concerns for spreading the flu, restricted children from visiting pediatric, maternity and intensive care units.
The action is similar to another area hospital.
As of Nov. 3, Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, limited visitors under the age of 18 from visiting any department in an effort to help control the spread of seasonal flu and H1N1 viruses.
