Cape Regional Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.
In August, The Joint Commission conducted a four-day survey of Cape Regional Medical Center. The Gold Seal is awarded for demonstrating compliance with national standards for healthcare quality and safety.
The Joint Commission’s hospital standards address important functions relating to the care of patients and the management of hospitals. The standards are developed in consultation with health care experts, providers, measurement experts and patients.
“In achieving Joint Commission accreditation, Cape Regional Medical Center has demonstrated its commitment to the highest level of care for its patients,” says Mark Pelletier, R.N., M.S., Executive Director, Hospital Programs, Accreditation and Certification Services, The Joint Commission.
“Accreditation is a voluntary process, and I commend Cape Regional Medical Center for successfully undertaking this challenge to elevate its standard of care and instill confidence in the community it serves.”
“The entire Medical Center team has done an outstanding job in providing exceptional care provided to our patients as recognized by achieving the Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission,” stated Joanne Carrocino, FACHE, President and CEO. “Our accreditation is a testament to the organization-wide commitment to provide the highest level of quality care.”
