Cape Regional Medical Center Appoints Chief Medical Information Officer

COURT HOUSE – Dianna Deignan, M.D., board certified Family Practice Physician, and Primary Care Physician with Harbor Family Practice in Stone Harbor, New Jersey has been appointed Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Cape Regional Medical Center.
Cape Regional Medical Center is implementing a new Clinical Information System (CIS) that includes nursing and physician documentation, computerized entry of orders, pharmacy, and medication administration among many other features. Dr. Deignan will play a key role as the liaison between the Information Technology Department and the Medical Staff to facilitate the implementation and ongoing support of the new CIS.
Dr. Deignan earned her Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her Graduate Medical Education at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) where she served as Chief Resident Physician. She also served as Assistant Professor at the UMass Medical School’s Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Dr. Deignan’s clinical experience includes serving as a Family Medicine Hospitalist at UMass Memorial Medical.
She is a member of the Medical Staff at Cape Regional Medical Center with clinical privileges in Family Practice and will continue her private practice in Stone Harbor, NJ. Dr. Deignan and her husband Shaun, live in Cape May, New Jersey.
