Cape Regional and NJIT to Provide Seminar on Electronic Health Records (EHRs)

COURT HOUSE – On Tue., Sept. 13, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Cape Regional Medical Center, in partnership with the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s federally recognized Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center, NJ-HITEC, will host a free continuing medical education (CME) seminar for area physicians on electronic health record (EHR) implementation. This 90-minute presentation has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 1.5 prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
The program will be held at Cape Regional Medical Center, 2 Stone Harbor Boulevard, Cape May Court House in Classrooms A and B located on the ground floor. It will include topics such as “Obtaining Medicare and Medicaid Financial Reimbursements for Meaningful Use compliance,” “EHR Vendor Selection Assistance,” “Practice Readiness Assessment,” “Workflow Redesign,” and “Financing Opportunities and Advice.” The program will also cover the EHR implementation services available to physicians through NJ-HITEC.
