Cape Radiology’ New State-of-the-Art MRI Opens May 6

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Cape Radiology (an affiliate of Cape Regional Medical Center) is pleased to announce the grand opening of their new MRI facility today. The addition of MRI services to the Rio Grande campus reflects the Medical Center’s commitment to providing the highest quality of healthcare to the community. The new, state-of-the-art facility, equipped with a Toshiba Vantage 1.5 MRI system, provides patients with a new level of convenience and technology that make their MRI experience significantly more comfortable.
“The new MRI Service strengthens our diagnostic capabilities at the Cape Radiology campus,” stated John McAllister, M.D., Board Certified Neuro-Radiologist. “It is a complement to Cape Radiology’s Diagnostic Imaging Services; providing faster studies, additional convenience and exceptional technology to our customers throughout Cape May County.”
The new MRI is designed to provide high performance imaging and faster exam times in an open, patient-friendly scanning environment. The MRI system features an ultra-short, ultra-wide platform, which offers greater openness for patients. The unit is equipped with noise reduction technology which effectively reduces scan noise by as much as ninety percent. Also, advanced MRI technology eliminates the need for contrast in many procedures. Combined, these features greatly increase patient comfort and superior image quality, which result in faster, more efficient exams.
