Cape May County Family Planning Services Offers Free Pick-Up in Ocean City

COURT HOUSE  The Cape May County Department of Health realizes the importance of regular health screenings and that transportation barriers may be a deterrent in making an appointment.
Family Planning Services is able to provide free transportation on Wednesdays and Thursdays from a centralized location in Ocean City to the Health Department located in Cape May Court House.

 “It is the hope that offering free transportation to Health Department wellness clinics will increase access to women’s health services to residents of Ocean City. As this program unfolds, we intend to provide additional transportation services to other parts of Cape May County,” said Kevin Thomas, Health Officer of Cape May County.
Cape May County Family Planning Services offers sliding scale low cost family planning services based on income. Family Planning also accepts New Jersey Family Care, Medicaid, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. Services are available to any gender, ages 13 and up. There are no County residency restrictions, all are welcome.
Services include:

  • Counseling on Contraception Options
  • Pelvic Exam
  • Health Education
  • HIV Testing
  • Pap Smears
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Sexually Transmitted Disease Testing and Treatment
