WILDWOOD – Cape Assist continues its efforts to stem the tide of underage drinking by announcing the “Better Things to Do” Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest. The goal of the contest is to raise awareness in schools: as well as gather parent support to not serve alcohol to underage students.
Sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) and the New Jersey Prevention Network, PSA contest gives currently enrolled high school students the opportunity to provide education and support to their peers on the dangers of underage drinking. The PSA entries can be submitted as a video, radio spot or a poster. There is no fee to participate but only one entry per participant/group will be accepted. All entries will become the property of NJPN and Cape Assist and may be used for future promotional materials.
Cape Assist will choose the winning PSA for Cape May County. All PSAs must be submitted to Cape Assist by Jan. 13, 2012. The local winning PSA will be submitted to NJPN’s state contest. A state winner will be chosen from the county finalists and will be notified after February 1, 2012. The state winners will be on display at NJPN’s 12th Annual Addiction Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Fri., March 2, 2012.
