NORTH WILDWOOD — This year will mark the North Wildwood Beach Patrol’s second annual ‘Day at the Beach’ with the 21 Down organization Fri., July 23 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Inlet Beach.
21 Down is a non-profit support organization serving the families, educators and healthcare professionals of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Together 21 Down creates a network of families who share information and support.
“The ultimate goal of 21 Down is for children and families to be accepted within the community. It strives to have children seen as caring and feeling individuals participating in school activities, work environments, and public outings. They want families’ lives to be enriched with happiness and pleasant memories.”
The North Wildwood Beach Patrol with the support of local community businesses helps to create a great summer memory for these children and their families.
NWBP ‘Day at the Beach’ incorporates not only safe guarded play time for the children but also interactions with seasoned lifeguards as beach safety is reinforced. A central meeting area is set up at our inlet beach, lunch and beverages provided, activities organized, including soft top rides and ocean fun, and gift bags to conclude the day.
Last year approximately 18 families participated. This year expect over 25 families and their children, totaling over 60 participants. contact Lauren Auty, 215-203-6824 with any questions.
