AtlantiCare Celebrates Take Your Child to Work Day

By Press Release

More than 100 children, ages nine to 13, attended AtlantiCare’s Take Your Child to Work Day April 28. Children of AtlantiCare physicians and staff took tours, attended interactive educational activities and enjoyed lunch at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) City and Mainland campuses.
Hospital departments including the Roger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth, Emergency Department, Laboratory, Radiology, Security, Sterile Processing and Trauma Center participated. Through tours and demonstrations, children learned about lab testing; x-rays; ailments and injuries treated in the emergency center; and how the Trauma Center and Center for Childbirth operate.
The annual event gives children a chance to learn about careers in healthcare.
