AMI Foundation Announces Mobile Mammography Van Schedule for September

The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will visit seven locations in four New Jersey counties in August. The schedule is as follows:

Atlantic County

September 8 – ShopRite, Hammonton

September 14 – Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Atlantic City

September 20 – Atlantic County Health Services, Northfield

Cape May County

September 29 – Cape May County Special Services School, Cape May Court House                                 

Cumberland County

September 9 – Glory Tabernacle Church, Bridgeton

Somerset County

September 18 – Lifecell Corporation, Bridgewater

September 19 – Lifecell Corporation, Branchburg

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. A prescription may not be needed. Please call the scheduling department at (609) 677-XRAY (9729) to make an appointment and to confirm hours of operation for specific locations.

The screenings are for women 40+ with no current or past breast issues. Screenings are processed through their insurance.

The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van travels throughout southeastern New Jersey to make breast cancer screening easier and more convenient. The custom-built, 38-foot van is completely self-contained. In addition to offering the latest digital mammography equipment, the van provides a comfortable waiting area and a private dressing room.

The mobile van’s radiology services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Mammography images are read by board-certified fellowship trained radiologists at Atlantic Medical Imaging.
