AMI Foundation Announces Mobile Mammography Van Schedule for December

The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will visit five locations in Atlantic County in December. The schedule is as follows:
Atlantic County
December 4 – AtlantiCare HealthPlex, Atlantic City
December 12 – Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Hammonton
December 18 – Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Atlantic City
December 20 – Atlantic County Health Services, Northfield
December 21 – ShopRite, Hammonton
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. A prescription may not be needed. Please call the scheduling department at 609-677-XRAY (9729) to make an appointment and to confirm hours of operation for specific locations.
The screenings are for women 40+ with no current or past breast issues. Screenings are processed through their insurance.
The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van travels throughout southeastern New Jersey to make breast cancer screening easier and more convenient. The custom-built, 38-foot van is completely self-contained. In addition to offering the latest digital mammography equipment, the van provides a comfortable waiting area and a private dressing room.
The mobile van’s radiology services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Mammography images are read by board-certified fellowship trained radiologists at Atlantic Medical Imaging.
