2011 Men’s Health Day at Cape Regional Medical Center Sept. 24

COURT HOUSE – On Sat., Sept. 24, The Thomas & Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center at Cape Regional Medical Center will host the 2011 Men’s Health Day. There will be free screenings for Prostate Cancer, Colorectal Cancer and Testicular Cancer. The screenings will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Cancer Center located on the Ground Floor of the Medical Center.
“Cancer screenings are an important preventative measure that should be taken in protecting our health,” stated Albert DeNittis M.D., M.S., Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Cape Regional Medical Center. “It is vitally important that men take the time to receive regular screenings,” DeNittis added.
Dr. DeNittis will be on site for Men’s Health Day and will perform the screenings.
“This will mark the eleventh year that we have been providing these screenings,” stated Terri Netz, RN, ONC, Director of Radiation Oncology. “We have found at least one diagnosis of prostate cancer each year, and we want to emphasis the importance of early detection.”
