1st Annual Stone Harbor Fitness Challenge 5K on July 12

Come out and race at the 1st Annual Stone Harbor Fitness Challenge 5K in beautiful Stone Harbor, NJ, presented by League Collegiate Outfitters on Saturday, July 12.
Racers begin with the 5K course, commencing at 83rd St. in front of the Windrift. After completing the run (if signed up for the challenge), racers continue on to the field challenge, 9 all-encompassing total body challenges set to test your fitness limits. The field challenge will include:
Burpees
Milk-Jug Carry
Med Ball Slams
Push-ups
Hurdle Jump Overs
Squat to Press
Sit-ups
Mountain Climbers
Animalistic Challenge Crawl
Order of events to be released one day prior to race day. The Kids’ 2 Mile Run begins shortly after the 5K start. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in the 5K, 5K Fitness Challenge, and Kids’ Fun Run.
Event schedule and times: Race begins at 8 a.m. with our competitive individuals first to start, followed by fun runners, and lastly, kids once all adults have cleared the starting line.
Course info: Race begins at the corner of 83rd &1st Ave. with a run along 1st Ave. to 106th St. At 106th, racers loop around 2nd Ave. back towards the Recreation Complex. For those completing the fitness challenge, the fun continues on the Rec. Field with the finish line 20 yards from the last of 9 challenges. The Kids’ 2 Mile Fun Run takes place all on 1st Ave.
Arrival info: Registration begins 6:45 a.m. and ends 7:45 a.m. Please arrive early and be ready to race.
Parking info: FREE Street parking is available along 1st and 2nd Ave., at the Recreation Complex, as well as surrounding areas.
What to bring: Racers are welcome to bring water, although water will be supplied, proper running shoes and attire, and lots of energy to kick off the 1st Annual Stone Harbor Fitness Challenge 5K.
