High Tides Striper Tournament Winners from Nov. 5, 2011

COURT HOUSE – The 5th Annual High Tides Striper Tournament hosted by the Carpenter’s Local 255 of South Jersey was held on Nov. 5, 2011. Forty-one boats braved the weather for this contest. At the end of the day the fish caught were weighed in at Off The Hook Bait and Tackle at Hinch Marina.
The winners were:
1st Prize: Jim McIhinney – Just Released – 44.01 LB. – $4000
2nd Prize: Al Bertonozzi – Gold Rush – 42.64 LB. – $1000
3rd Prize: Andrew Simone – Prime Time – 36.70 LB – $500
4th Prize: Anthony Verelli – Bunker Head – 36.38 LB – $400 Donated Back to Brendan’s Fund
5th Prize: Vanessa Brown – Noreaster II – 32.62 LB. – $300 Donated Back to Brendan’s Fund
Following the fishing, a dinner was held at the Cape May VFW where the awards were presented and many donated the prizes back to the local charity. Andy Bulakowski, tournament director, was pleased with the turn out and proceeds over $35,000 donated to Brendans Fund.
Thanks to all of the event sponsors and Hinch Marina, the event was a huge success.
Throughout the year, Brendan’s Fund holds fundraising events to support their programs to assist Cape May County families who have a child or young adult with cancer. The community continues to show a tremendous outpouring of support for these events. Brendan’s Fund truly appreciate the support they receive from all those who attend.
