Writers! Ditch the Rhetoric! Make it Happen!

By Herald Staff

The 11th annual North Wildwood Beach Writers’ Conference, now in conjunction with Atlantic Cape Community College, is all new this year and focused on preparing you to attain your dream of becoming a published author.
No more lectures, no more sitting back and listening. This year it’s only hands-on workshops where experts will guide you in creating fictional characters, inventing realistic dialogue, polishing your style, even awakening your muse. Learn the logistics of finding an agent, an editor, a publisher.
Workshop leaders include award-winning novelist Tom Monteleone (Blood of the Lamb); editor Paul Dinas who has published hundreds of successful books, including a dozen New York Times bestsellers and who launched the careers of hundreds of first-time authors; Dr. Dan D’Auria who has self-published children’s books based on his own wildlife photos, and so many more.
Also new this year, we’ve replaced the formal dinner with a networking cocktail party. And we’ll have a photographer on hand to take your all-important headshot.
We’re reenergized our old favorites too: contests, manuscript evaluations, Book Bazaar.
All of this for a registration fee of only $125, which includes two days of workshops, two continental breakfasts, and the cocktail party. (Manuscript evaluations are a small additional fee.)
We’ll also offer our ever popular extra-curricular evening of drama on Tuesday.
The Conference takes place at the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4-5.
Now’s the time to stop dreaming. You can make it happen with a little help from the experts. Visit NWBWC.com for all the details and registration form.
Attendees receive a certificate for CEUs.
