Woodbine Library to Host Crochet Workshop

By Press Release

WOODBINE – The Cape May County Library will be holding a four-day crochet workshop at the Woodbine Branch, located at 800 Monroe Street, Woodbine, on four Saturdays, June 7, June 14, June 21, and June 28, 2014, all from 10 a.m. to noon.
Just in time for the Fourth of July, students will craft their very own patriotic placemat celebrating the red white and blue. This class is considered a beginner’s course and is perfect for anyone who has already taken a beginner’s course on crochet, or anyone who may have no experience at all. Topics include basic crochet stitches and how to seamlessly change colored yarn during the project.
The presenter, Jennifer Bolton, learned to crochet from her grandmother, and hopes to pass on the tradition to her three girls. Jennifer has earned a degree in Fine Arts from Montgomery College.
All students will be required to bring 5 oz. of red cotton yarn, 5 oz. of white cotton yarn, 5 oz. of navy cotton yarn, 1 size G hook, and 1 large eyed needle.
Attendees must be at least 18 years of age. Class size is limited, therefore registration is required. For more information and to register, please call 463-6389 or visit www.cmclibrary.org .
“We welcome Jennifer back to our local branch, and are confident this workshop will be as richly received as was her previous two-day class,” concluded Mayor Pikolycky.
