Win an Exclusive Lunch with Emmy Award Nominees at ‘Shakes-Beer’

By Sponsored Content

CAPE MAY — Cape May Stage celebrates the great month of Oct. with ‘Shakes-Beer: The Wurst Event in Town’! Oct. 5 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. celebrate with the Board and staff of Cape May Stage at this event that’s guaranteed to be quite ‘Shakesbeerian’ featuring beer from Cape May Brewing Co. and an assortment of delicious brats.
But that’s not all! At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to win an exclusive lunch that’s basically Emmy-worthy! You and three friends will have the chance to dine with actor Robert Newman, two-time Emmy Award nominee known for playing Josh on Guiding Light for over 20 years. Joining you will be four-time Emmy nominee Roy Steinberg, a Supervising Producer and director on Guiding Light for ten years. Newman currently stars as Lyman Wyeth in Cape May Stage’s production of Other Desert Cities, directed by Steinberg.
“Robert Newman and I spent many years working at Guiding Light and have so many crazy, fun behind-the-scenes stories to share with the winner of our raffle,” says Steinberg. “Having the producer/director and the star of the longest running show in broadcast history together at a private lunch is a unique prize that Cape May Stage is excited to offer. And we would love to talk about Other Desert Cities, as well.” Also included with this fabulous lunch is a luxe basket donated by the Board of Directors of Cape May Stage featuring multiple gift certificates to local gourmet restaurants, hand-picked wines, an assortment of custom Cape May Stage merchandise, and more!
‘Shakes-Beer’ begins at 11:00 a.m. Oct. 5 in the courtyard of the Robert Shackleton Playhouse on the corner of Lafayette and Bank Streets. Tickets are $40 and include a commemorative pint glass and one free fill. Or upgrade your ticket and see that day’s matinee performance of Other Desert Cities for $25 more. Proceeds from ‘Shakes-Beer’ support the ongoing artistic, cultural and education programs at Cape May Stage – a non-profit company that has been producing Equity theatre in Cape May for the past 25 years. Reservations needed by Oct. 1. Call (609) 770-8311 or visit capemaystage.org for tickets and more information.
