WILDWOOD CREST – Check out these fall activities happening in Wildwood Crest!
Crest Pier Zumba Classes:
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosts Zumba classes Saturdays at 9 a.m. at the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Classes are directed by Kelly Wood, a certified fitness instructor.
Cost is $5 per class or $50 for 12 sessions.
Attendees should arrive at least five minutes prior to start time and should wear appropriate attire.

Fit Seniors Exercise Classes:
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host its Fit Seniors program, an exercise class specifically designed for men and women age 60 and older, each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Crest Pier beginning Oct. 18. The class will focus on safe and effective endurance, flexibility, balance and strength training to improve overall function.
Fee is $5 per class or 12 classes for $50.

New Gymnastics/Dance Program At Crest Pier:
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host gymnastics and dance classes for children ages 4-10 this fall. Classes will be held Tuesday afternoons/early evenings beginning Oct. 25 as follows: 3:15-4:30 p.m. for ages 4-5; 4:30-5:45 p.m. for ages 6-7; and 5:45-7 p.m. for ages 8-10.
This combination dance class will give students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics, tap, jazz and ballet. Three eight-class sessions are planned, with a dance recital to be held in late April. Session II will begin Jan. 3. Session III will begin March 6.
Cost is $50 for each eight-class session. Registration forms are available at Crest Pier.

Children’s Creative Dramatics Program:
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host Creative Dramatics classes for boys and girls ages 8-12 each Wednesday from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. at the Crest Pier Recreation Center beginning Oct. 19. Children will get the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of acting, featuring improvisation, pantomime, creative movement and more.
Cost is $30 for first child, $20 for each additional child from the same family for 10 sessions. Registration forms are available at the Crest Pier.

Wildwood Crest Adult Wiffle Ball League:
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will hold its third annual adult Wiffle Ball league beginning in mid November. Teams can consist of three to five players. Registration forms are available at the Crest Pier.

Wildwood Crest Youth Wrestling Club Registration:
The Wildwood Crest Wrestling Club, a youth program for boys and girls in grades 1-8, will begin registration for its 2011-12 season on Monday, Oct. 17.
The program is open to beginning, intermediate and advanced youth wrestlers from Cape May County. Participants will be matched with those of similar age, weight and skill levels.
Practice/training sessions will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center beginning in mid November. The program will conclude in late February.
The program will include instruction, practice workouts, a handful of matches against other wrestling clubs and tournaments.
Cost is $55 for the season per wrestler ($100 per family) or $5 per practice.
Registration forms will be available at the Crest Pier beginning Oct. 17.

Pier Walking:
As the weather turns cooler, those who enjoy walking may want to take their exercise time indoors. The Crest Pier Recreation Center will be open to walkers Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. beginning Oct. 11. Twelve laps around the inside of the facility equal one mile.
Adult Cards:
The Crest Pier hosts an open adult card playing program every Wednesday at 10 a.m. The program is free.
Adult Mahjong:
The Crest Pier Recreation Center hosts an open adult mahjong program each Monday and Thursday at noon. Mahjong players of all abilities are invited to participate in informal games. The program is free.
Halloween Season Trunk or Treat Family Event:
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host the sixth annual Halloween season Trunk or Treat family event on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m.
The event consists of parents/adults bringing their Halloween-decorated vehicles to the Wildwood Crest Pier parking lot at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue, where they will distribute candy from the trunks of their vehicles to children outfitted for Halloween.
The event includes other Halloween related activities, a DJ, refreshments and prizes awarded to the best decorated vehicles.
Trunk or Treat is a free event, but vehicles must be pre-registered. Registration forms are available at the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
