Wildwood Chamber Announces Lineup for Fabulous 50s Weekend

WILDWOOD — Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2013 Fabulous ’50s Concert line-up. The Annual Fabulous ’50s Weekend will take place Oct. 18 and 19th, in the Wildwoods.
The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Fabulous ’50s Weekend showcases the Wildwoods rich mid-20th century heritage, and presents a unique and positive image for the island and state.
This event also creates a strong post-season tourism event for southern Cape May County. It adds an additional profitable week for seasonal businesses and their employees, and attracts new businesses to our area. This event has proven it will bring overnight stays to the Wildwoods and surrounding area.
The weekend will start with a dance party at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday night with a live dance band. The Saturday free street fair at Fox Park will include food vendors, craft vendors, classic car show, fun contest and so much more.
The highlight of the weekend is always the Saturday night concert inside the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center. This year the concert will feature Lou Christie, Danny and The Juniors featuring Joe Terry, Gary Lewis and The Playboys, Russell Thompkins and The New Stylistics and Charlie Thomas Drifters.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale Sat., April 27, 2013 at the Sensational Spring Concert Box Office at the Wildwoods Convention Center, All Ticketmaster Locations, www.ticketmaster.com, 1-800-745-3000 and on Mon., April 29, at 9 a.m. at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Office, 3306 Pacific Ave., Wildwood or 609-729-4000.
