OCEAN CITY— What’s Happening in Ocean City during the week:
Wed., Oct 27: WELCOME NIGHT, presented by the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is open to the public and acquaints new and current residents with City organizations, products, services and community leaders.
There will be informational displays, refreshments, door prizes and giveaways. Parking is free at City Boardwalk lots near the Music Pier Auditorium.

Thurs., Oct. 28: The City’s 63rd Annual HALLOWEEN PARADE starts 7:15 p.m. and goes from 6th to 11th Sts. on Asbury Avenue in the downtown. Registration closes on Oct. 26 and is available only online at www.ochp.blogspot.com. Call the hotline

Parade grand marshal will be Riley Gunnels, long time Ocean City resident and a member of the 1960 Philadelphia Eagles NFL Championship team. This year marks the 50th year of their 17-13 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
Riley’s wife, Kay, will accompany him in the convertible.
Remember to bring a can of food to the Parade. The Boy Scouts are assisting the local food cupboard by “Scouting for Food” for those in need.
Fri., Oct. 29: The Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the Ocean City Community Center’s massive renovations at 1735 Simpson Ave. are scheduled for 1 p.m. There will be light refreshments and tours. The public is invited.
NOTE: Ocean City’s Downtown Farmers Market is over for the season. There will be no Farmers Market this Saturday.
