OCEAN CITY – Coming Attraction: The World Renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale will perform at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 8th and Central Ave., on June 8 at 7 p.m. Doors open 6:30 p.m. for general seating. Phone (609) 399-2748 for tickets at $10. Children 12 and under are free.
The evening performance will feature the angelic voices of 80 boys complemented by a Men’s Chorale. Theme will be “The French Connection” with songs by Debussy, numbers from Les Miserables and more. There will be Gershwin tunes and standards such as America the Beautiful, When the Saints Go Marching In and others. The Choir has toured the world including a recent tour of China. A tour of France is scheduled for this summer.
(June 6) Wonder’s Birthday Bash at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, 6th and Boardwalk, celebrate Wonder Bear’s Birthday from 6 to 10:30 p.m. All rides will be only 1 ticket plus a 9 p.m. Fireworks Show. Rides open at 6 p.m. Wonder Bear available all night for photos. Celebrating 84 years on the Boardwalk.

Coming Soon: The 80th annual Miss New Jersey Pageant is set for the Music Pier, June 13-15, with the popular Parade on June 12 from 6 to 14th Sts. on the Boardwalk at 7 p.m.
Special Pageant guest will be Mallory Hagan, the reigning Miss America, who will participate during the final evening of the contest on Sat., June 15. Tickets are available by contacting Mary Lou Cake (856) 424-3564, cell phone (609) 315-1423. Prices are $35 for each preliminary night, $50 for the final and $110 for all three nights. This is the 17th year the Pageant has been featured at the Music Pier.
Ocean City will host a Jeep Invasion, June 14-16, an army of Jeep cars will display in the downtown and on the Boardwalk, courtesy of the NJJA Jeep enthusiasts. “There will be custom jeeps, awesome trail rigs and some really, really cool vendors.” For information and a complete schedule visit http://ocnjjeepinvasion.evenbrite.com.
(June 15) Bethany Hamilton, “The Soul Surfer” with program “Finding Hope to Overcome.” The evening will feature a live interview with Bethany talking about what it’s like to deal with the issues in her life after being brutally attacked by a shark while surfing. Music by the Glenn Taylor Band.
There will be a video presentation of local surfers, prizes and free admission. You don’t have to be a surfer to enjoy this program. Event held 7 p.m. at the Ocean City Tabernacle, 550 Wesley Ave., sponsored by FCA Surf Camp.

There will be a tribute to Roy and Pat Gillian by The Friends of the Ocean City Pops, 6 p.m., June 9 at Greate Bay Country Club. The Gillian’s are long time supporters and patrons of the Pops. Reminder: Every June 26 through Sept. 4, there is a Farmer’s Market at the Tabernacle Grounds, also Crafters in the Fire House Parking Lot on 6th St., from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
